ASTERIA (NORAD 43020, COSPAR 1998-067NH) was a US satellite that re-entered Earth's atmosphere on 24 Apr 2020, launched on 14 Aug 2017 on the 77KM No. 17501 mission. It was operated by JPL / MIT as part of the JPL Cube programme. The spacecraft was built by JPL on the Cubesat 6U bus, with a mass of 12 kg. Like most satellites in low orbits, it was gradually slowed by atmospheric drag until re-entry.
