What Colorado uses
Checked November 2026The 2020 Colorado Academic Standards in science were adopted in 2018 by the Colorado State Board of Education and reached every classroom in 2021-22. A code names the subject, grade, standard and expectation, so SC.5.3.2 is Grade 5, Standard 3 (Earth and space science); gravity sits in Standard 1. Climate-focused changes approved in August 2025 start in 2027-28, and none of them touches a space code listed here.
How to use this page
Find your code in the tables below. The lesson page has a lesson sequence, common misconceptions and questions with answers; the live tools and the worksheet open straight from the same row.
