What Minnesota uses
Checked November 2026The 2019 Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Science were revised in 2019 and put into state rule on September 27, 2021. A code reads grade and domain, strand, substrand, standard and benchmark, so 5E.4.1.1.1 is a Grade 5 Earth and space benchmark. Space shows up in Grades 3, 5, 6 and 8, then in the high school Earth and space and physics benchmarks.
