What Mississippi uses

Checked November 2026

The Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for Science, 2018 edition, sit in state rule as 7 Miss. Admin. Code, Part 169; a 2026 revision approved on July 23, 2026 applies from 2026-27. A code gives the strand letter, grade, standard and objective, so E.5.8B.2 is a Grade 5 Earth and space objective. Space is spread over Kindergarten and Grades 2, 5, 6 and 7, plus a high school Earth and space science course and a physics course.

Hancock County is home to NASA's Stennis Space Center, near Bay St. Louis.
